Armstrong, John L.

Rhinebeck- John L. Armstrong, 52, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at his home in Clinton Corners.

John was a lifelong Rhinebeck resident; he graduated from Rhinebeck Central Schools and has worked as a self-employed mason.  He has also worked for the Rhinebeck Water Department during the 1980’s and as a plumber for the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #429.

Born December 29, 1957, in Rhinebeck, he was the son of the late John B. Armstrong and Virginia Hull Armstrong of Middletown.

On July 4, 1992 at their home in Clinton Corners he married Mary T. White.

In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by two brothers Charles of Mt. Dora, Fl and David of Rhinebeck; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Tuesday, June 15, 2010, 3 to 6 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck.  Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
