Currie, Margaret Marion

Salt Point – Margaret Marlon Currie, 101, passed peacefully Friday at her home in Salt Point.

Miss Currie received a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel Institute of Technology, a Masters of Education from New York University, and a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University. She worked for many years as a teacher and social worker.

She was a member of the Bulls Head-Oswego Meeting.

Miss Currie served in the WAC during WW II.

Born April 9, 1907 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Daniel and Minnie (Wahl) Currie.

She was predeceased by a brother Edward Currie.

Survivors include her friends, Louise Hardy; and Isaac and Eve Ashworth with whom she made her home.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bulls Head-Oswego Meeting.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St. Rhinebeck.
