Ferrari, Marie
Rhinebeck –
Marie Ferrari, 84, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, at the home
of her son in Stuart, Florida.
Mrs. Ferrari lived
previously in East Meadow and Rhinebeck, NY, before moving to West Palm
Beach, Florida. She was a member of Good Shepherd Church, Rhinebeck
and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic, West Palm Beach, Fl.
In her early years
Marie worked as a hostess for the Commodore Hotel; and on Long Island
for Saks Fifth Ave. and Abraham and Strauss as a retail clerk and fashion
model. She was also a hostess at many upscale restaurants on Long Island;
and completed here working career at Petro Oil, Westbury, NY.
Born July 18, 1923
in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Anthony and Dolores (Mastragiacomo)
Rutigliano.
On February 23,
1946 in Morristown, NY, she married John P. Ferrari, Sr.; Mr. Ferrari
passed away May 25, 1998.
Mrs. Ferrari is
survived by a son John P. Ferrari, Jr., and his wife Babbette, of Stuart,
FL; a daughter Mary Ellen Bellanca, and her husband Charles, of Milan,
NY; six grandsons, Patrick, Kevin and Michael Ferrari, and Craig, Terry
and Kirk Bellanca; two step-grandsons Eric and Timothy Burger; eight
great grandchildren, Chad, Devin, Aidan, Kara, Christopher, Kayla, Katelynn,
and Lilah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased
by three sisters and one brother.
Calling hours are
Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51
W. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY.
A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 AM, at the Good Shepherd Church,
Rhinebeck. Interment will be in the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
