Rhinebeck - Kenneth C. Flood,
69, passed away Friday, 15, 2008 at Northern Dutchess
Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.
He was born on February 21,
1938 in Mt.Vernon, NY, the son of the late Joseph J. and
Theresa A. (Baum) Flood.
Ken served in the US Navy;
In 1984 he retired as Deputy Fire Chief of Mt. Vernon Fire
Department. After retirement he served as a New York State Fire instructor;
he was
owner and operator of the Rock City Saloon and most recently owner and
operator of
Northern Dutchess Realty.
On October 14, 1961 in Mt.
Vernon, NY he married Peggy Jean (Hunnings) Flood. She
survives at home in Rhinebeck.
In addition to his wife survivors
include three daughters, Susan and her husband Robert
Belcher of Red Hook, NY; Jean Flood of Rhinebeck; Kristine McMichael
of Rhinebeck; a son,
Kevin and his wife Britt Flood of Rhinebeck; a sister Ellen and her
husband Gordon Prout
of Rhinebeck; and eight grandchildren, Angela, Joseph, Brianne, Kelsey,
Blake, Grace,
Billy and Tommy.
Calling hours are 1 to 5
pm on Sunday, February 17, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home,
51 West Market St. Rhinebeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated 11 am Monday, February 18, at Good Shepherd
Church, Msgr. Joy Plaza, Rhinebeck.
Interment will be in the
Rhinebeck Cemetery.
