Kuhn, Arnold W.

Rhinebeck – Arnold W. ‘Arnie’ Kuhn, 85, passed away, Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Mr. Kuhn served active duty in the US Naval Service Coast Guard from November 19, 1942 to March 20, 1946; and in the Naval Reserves until January 26, 1968.

For 17 years he worked in childcare at Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry, NY, and at the Astor Home, Rhinebeck. He also worked for many years as a service technician and deliveryman for KOSCO, V&O and Dutchess Utilities; and for 24 years as a security guard at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Hosier on December 31, 2003; and by two brothers Edward and Clayton Kuhn.

Calling hours are Thursday, 5 to 7 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck. Funeral services are 7 PM, Thursday, at the Funeral Home. Rev. Thaddeus Dragula of the First Baptist Church of Rhinebeck will officiate.

Interment will be in the Veterans Section of Rhinebeck Cemetery.
