Leadbitter, Barbara Hinds

Staatsburg, NY - Barbara Hinds Leadbitter, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at
the Thompson House, Rhinebeck.

Mrs. Leadbitter was a lifelong Staatsburg resident; she graduated from the Staatsburg
Union Free School in 1940, was a member of St. Margaret's Church, and served 32 years as
a charter and life member o the Staatsburg Rescue Squad.

Born September 7, 1922 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Julian and Katherine
Elnora (Regan) Hinds.

On August 9, 1944 at St. Paul's Church, Poughkeepsie, she married Edward L. Leadbitter.
Mr. Leadbitter predeceased her on February 1, 2006.

Mrs. Leadbitter is survived by her children, Judith Doyle, and her husband Denis of Red
Hook, a son David Leadbitter, and his wife Christine of Poughquag; three grandchildren,
Kimberly Doyle Boulger, and her husband Stephen, Shawn Alan Doyle, and his wife Heather;
and Michael Leadbitter; five great grandchildren Kelly Ann and Erin Nicole Boulger, Derek
Alan, Brandon Robert, and Caitlyn Elizabeth Doyle; a sister Agnes H. Culhane of Latham,
NY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister Doris Dugliss on June 14, 2000.

Calling hours are Saturday, 2 to 3 PM, at the e Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W.
Market St., Rhinebeck. Memorial Services will begin 3 PM, Saturday, at the funeral home.
Rev. Ryan Nace of St. John's Reformed Church, Upper Red Hook, will officiate.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family
