Liebhart, Vera E.

Vera E. Liebhart, 86 a lifelong resident of Dutchess County passed away on Tuesday July 13, 2010 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck, NY.

She was born on July 16, 1923 in Shekomeko, NY a daughter of the late Wilber and Margaret (Turbarg) Doyle.

Mrs. Liebhart was educated in the Pine Plains Schools and resided there until moving to Rhinebeck in 1986. While living in Pine Plains she was employed as a secretary to the principal for the Pine Plains School District.

She was an avid golfer and member of the Red Hook Golf Club. One of her fondest memories and "claim to fame" was being a participant on the weekly television show, Bowling for Dollars.

In 1952 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Amenia, NY she married Jopseph G. Liebhart. He pre-deceased her on September 29, 2003.

Survivors include her two daughters and son in laws, Ann and Dave Feroe of Poughkeepsie, NY and Jo - Ann and Robert Wolfe of Stanfordville, NY. She also leaves three grandchildren, Michael Beckwith and his wife Shannon, Robert Wolfe and Natasha Wolfe along with three great grandchildren, Norah, Jillian and Audrey Beckwith. Additionally she leaves a sister, Eunice Swart and a brother Cecil Doyle, both of Pine Plains and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Liebhart was pre deceased by a sister, Irene Stuetzle and two brothers, Clyde and Lewis Doyle.

Private services will be held at the Church of the Messiah in Rhinebeck, NY.

Memorial contributions may be offered to the Church of the Messiah or the Baptist Home, bothe located in Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
