Mazur, Bohdan

Rhinebeck – Bohdan ‘Bo’ Mazur, 74, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Mr. Mazur was employed for 40 years as an Engineer for IBM, Poughkeepsie. He was and avid Hunter and Fisherman and member of the Staatsburg Gun Club. He was also a car enthusiast and member of the Antique Car Club. He received the Outstanding Contribution Award in 1971 and the Division Award in 1981 from IBM.

He was predeceased in 2006 by his wife Veronika Tersansky Mazur.

Born November 15, 1934 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Sylvester and Anna Hajduk Mazur.

He is survived by four children, Ramona Singer, Bohdan ‘Nicky Mazur, Sonya Mazur, and Tanya Pettyjohn, four grandchildren, Victor, Natasha, Nicky and Avery; a sister Anna Miller and a brother Sylvester Mazur.

He was predeceased by a brother Vladimir and two sisters Josephine Costa and Frances Katamey.

Funeral services are Sunday, 3 PM, at the First Baptist Church, 9 Astor Dr., Rhinebeck. Interment will be in the St. Josephs Cemetery, Rhinecliff.
