Rhinebeck – Ida Engel-Prah, 86, passed away
Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Baptist Home.
Born May 2,
1923 in Austria she was the daughter of John and Anna Ernest. She
was a longtime resident of Rhinebeck and had worked at Danelle’s
Restaurant , Millbrook.
Mrs. Engel-Prah
was predeceased by two husbands, Gunther Engle and Joseph Prah.
Survivors include
her daughters Clara Bergstrom, and her husband Kenneth of Sanibel
, FL, and Ingrid Brock, and her husband Klaus of South Carolina,
five grandchildren Helen Sterople and her husband Todd of Red Hook,
Joanne Varadi of Tampa, Fl., Gabriele Frobin, and her husband Michael
of New York City, Mark Alt of Pennsylvania, and Robert Alt, and
his wife Dawn of South Carolina; and four great grandchildren, Ryan
Sterople, Stephanie Frobin, Karina Alt and Mikaela Alt.
Calling hours
are Thursday, February 4th , 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at the Dapson-Chestney
Funeral Home, 51 W. Market ST., Rhinebeck. Funeral services will
begin at 10:30 followed by interment in the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
