Pulling, Charlotte J.

Rhinebeck – Charlotte J. Pulling, 70, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in New York City on June 25, 1938, Charlotte moved to Rhinebeck with her parents Albert and Charlotte (Wilson) Jones at the age of 14.

She was a graduate of Rhinebeck Central School and had worked for twenty seven and a half years in the Community Services office at Dutchess Community College.

She was a member of the Church of the Messiah, and a choir member for more than 50 years.

On June 25, 1938, at the Church of the Messiah, she married Charles A. Pulling.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters Amy S. Gilbert, and her husband Douglas, of Germantown, and Karen Howard-Sherow, and her husband Rick, of Rhinebeck; a son Christopher J., and his wife Lisa, of Omaha, Nebraska; nine grandchildren, Ariana, Alexander, Samuel and Phoebe Gilbert, Sabrina Sherow, Sydney and Charlotte Howard, and Mary and Abigail Pulling; and a brother Allan Jones, and his wife Ronnie, of Tivoli.

Calling hours are Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St, Rhinebeck.

Funeral services are Monday, 11 AM, at the Church of the Messiah, Montgomery St. Rhinebeck. Interment will be in the Rhinebeck Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
