Judith L. Polotaye

Rhinebeck - Judith L. Polotaye, 71, passed away surrounded by her family Thursday, October 19, 2017, at
the Baptist Home, Rhinebeck.
Jude attended Bethany College and Glendale Community College and trained as
an Interior Designer.  She was also a talented photographer and developer.
For 22 years she worked as Court Clerk for Judge Herman Tietjen and upon his
retirement Judge Willie Sanchez in Rhinebeck. 
Jude was a former member of the Red Hook United Methodist Church and a current member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church. Jude was also past president of the Juvenile Diabetes Assoc., and worked on the Cure for Cancer Walk and Rebuilding Biloxi in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.  
Born September 9, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Rev. H. Coleman Lamb and Ruth Atkinson Lamb.
On January 14, 1966 at the Dutch Reformed Church, Hyde Park, she married
Raymond L. Polotaye. 
In addition to her husband Ray of Rhinebeck, she is survived by a daughter
Christine M. Anson, and her husband Michael of Rhinebeck, a daughter Karen
Roush of Gilbert, AZ; her grandchildren, Krystel M. Anson, Mathew Roush and
Makenzie Roush; a great grandchild Sylis; two sisters Barbara and Deborah
Lamb; a sister-in-law Sandee Polotaye; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Sandee E. and Rebecka L Anson;
and a brother-in-law Robert Polotaye.
Calling hours Monday 4 to 7 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W.
Market St., Rhinebeck.  Funeral services are Tuesday 11:00AM, October 24, 2017, at the Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Route 9, Hyde Park.  Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
