Lauren O Decker

Red Hook – Lauren O. Decker, 78, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at his home in Red Hook.

Mr. Decker was a third generation Master Carpenter in the Northern Dutchess area.  He worked for himself and many builders including Robert Bradley and Dave Sigler, building homes and on many estates in the Hudson Valley, and quite often at the Beekman Arms.

Following graduation from Rhinebeck High School he served in the US Army.

Born June 10, 1939 in Rhinebeck, he was the son of Lloyd N. and Pauline (Ostrander) Decker.

Mr. Decker was predeceased by his daughter Melissa Ann.

Private services will be at the Wurtemburg Cemetery, Rhinebeck

Arrangements are under the direction of the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck.
