Liselotte Zinglersen, known to many as Lilo, died at age 60 on the evening of March 28th in her home surrounded by those who deeply loved her.
Born on April 5th 1957 in Copenhagen, Denmark Lilo was raised in Greenland and Australia. Scouted by Elite Models at the age of 17, she moved to Paris and launched her career as a top model of the 70s and 80s marking the covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, and Linea Italiana while working with photographers such as Helmut Newton, Marco Glaviano and Jean-Jacques Bogart. She left the modeling world to pursue a life with horses in upstate New York, a passion that was ignited within Lilo at a very young age. She was the founder of Viking Farm and the mother to many horses.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah and Serena, her two sons, Sebastian and Lorenzo, her mother, Gunvor Knudsen, her sister, Tine Zinglersen and the love of her life, Stefano Ferrari.
Please join Lilo’s family and friends for a memorial service on Saturday April 7 2018 at Viking Farm, 92 Rowe Road, Milan, NY at 2pm to celebrate the life of the evolved soul and beautiful human that is, and always will be Lilo.
