Marvin Kurtz

Rhinebeck – Marvin Kurtz, 73, of Rhinebeck, passed away Saturday December 16, 2017, surrounded by his family at home.

Marvin, who retired as an options trader, was a voracious reader, a virtual encyclopedia on most subjects, and a gifted player of Bridge and other games. 

Born March 5, 1944 in NYC he was the son of Jack and Zelda (Golden) Kurtz

Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Brie Gallagher, whom he married September 1, 1996; stepchildren Dylan, Seth, and Shannon Gallagher; his sister Sheila Hodis; and other extended family. He will always be remembered fondly as “Grandpa Marv” by Will Gallagher, 4, and Coraline Gallagher-Roberts, 8. 

Marvin was a blessing to his family, who will miss his company and counsel terribly.
