Rhinecliff – Mary C. Denu, 95, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, at the Thompson House, Rhinebeck.
Mary was a longtime resident of Rhinecliff where she was a member of the Good Shepherd/St. Joseph Parish and the Rhinecliff Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer at Northern Dutchess Hospital, the hospital thrift shop, and a member of the auxiliary.
Mary worked for many years in childcare at the Astor Home for Children, Rhinebeck.
Born February 21, 1923 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of Emil T. and Amelia (Stout) Wieber.
On February 15, 1942 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bronx, she married Raymond F. Denu. Raymond passed away January 20, 1995.
Mary is survived by her three sons; Richard R. Denu, Sr. and his wife Krissy of Rhinecliff, Glenn Denu of Esperance, NY, and Gordon Denu and his wife Kim of Rhinecliff, 10 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sister Betty Jackson, and daughter-in-law Sherri Denu.
At Mary’s request services and interment are private.
