We send our deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to the Vonderheide family. Paul drove our children's school bus for 6 years while they were in elementary school. He was greatly respected, and we always felt our little ones were in good hands. When he retired I was working at an elementary school in the district, and it was from there that he pulled out on his last run. It was a privilege to be among those waving him off.

I remember Paul from junior high and high school. He was always respected by myself and my friends. I had no idea he was still in the area.

I knew Paul from Haviland Junior High School in the early 1970's. Paul taught me some lessons on behavior and attitude, Thus I respected him and his job. I use to see him when he visited my friends quite frequently later on in life and we joked about our times when I was a student at Haviland. He was a kind man and well liked, Rest In Peace Paul.

To Paul's Family:
Paul's dedication to the ministry of Christian Service Brigade at the First Baptist Church of Rhinebeck revealed his love for the Lord and the burden of his heart to see young men know Christ and live for Him. His Dad, Charles, had that same dedication as he served as Treasurer of the church. The passing of those dear to us intensifies the longing in our hearts for the return of our Savior. May God comfort your hearts
In Christian love
