Robin Veach Obituary

Robin Lee Veach, 66, of Rhinebeck, NY, passed away on May 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with gallbladder cancer. During the last fifteen months, Robin has endured so much pain and continued to fight until her last breath; she exemplified the true meaning of strength, courage, and dignity. Family meant everything to Robin, and she was blessed as her family and loved ones came together and provided her with amazing care and love, twenty-four hours a day, for the two weeks preceding her passing.

Robin was born on January 17, 1956 in Rhinebeck, NY. She is survived by her parents Lillian and Roger Hadley. In 1974, she met the love of her life, Charles Veach Sr. and they married on October 10, 1986.  They raised their three married children; Alfred Owens III and wife Kara, Christine Eighmy and husband Kyle, and Charles Veach Jr. and wife Maureen. While there is no doubt that the love for her children was endless, the love for her six grandchildren somehow exceeded that and Amanda, Tyler, Ryan, Lillian, Alyssa and Kylie will forever treasure the memories they have with the greatest Mimi ever.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her three sisters; Beatrice Peluso (her husband Lenny, and nieces Alyson and Tina), Patricia Lobotsky (her husband Steven, and nephews Greg and Nicolas), Leah O’Connor (her husband Tom, and niece Hadley and nephew Thomas) as well as sisters in law Linda Burns (her husband Jim, nephews Jimmy, Kurt & Rodney) and Barbara Green (nephew Mike, niece Susie) and her brothers in law Hank Veach (nieces Ashley and Chelsey), Brian Veach, and Joe Veach (nephews Bryan and Joey).

Robin worked at Wonderland Florist for thirty-three years and undoubtedly recognized each of her co-workers as extended family. Lynn, Susan, Shirley, Lisa and Leslie were all so extremely supportive of her and truly went above and beyond during the last year. She adored each one of you and our family is so appreciative.

Robin is predeceased by her father Robert Folmsbee, and brother/sister in laws; George (Debbie) Veach, Tom (Liz) Veach and Jim Veach.
