Sherrill Lee Hart, 73, of Elizaville, NY, passed away on November 07, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY. She has been a 55 year resident of Columbia and Dutchess Counties.

Sherrill was born in York, Maine on February 26, 1944. She went to high school at Wells High and married prior to graduating on February 26, 1962. She went on to earn her High School diploma from Columbia/Greene BOCES 1997 in honor of Amanda. She worked as a homemaker, mother and devoted loving wife all her life raising 4 children and 3 grandchildren as her own.

She enjoyed reading, word search crossword puzzles, embroidery, playing cards, Yahtzee, spending time with her extended family and quiet private times with her husband.

Sherrill is preceded in death by her Daughters, Amanda L 18, Jolene L, newborn, Father, Elmer Bridges, Mother, Florence Card, Brothers, Stephen Bridges, and William Bridges, Sister, Andrea Lambert, Half-brother Wayne Bridges and Half-sister Barbara Kingsbury.

Sherrill is survived by her Husband, Chris R. Hart Sr. of Elizaville, NY, Daughter, Gertrude M. Desmond, Standish, ME, Son Chris R. Hart Jr., Elizaville, NY, Daughter, Carina L. Moore, Elizaville, NY., Grandchildren, Carl E. Hart and his Daughters Hanna, Harmony L. M., Serenity A. and son Elijah J., Benjamin R. Hart and his son Paxton R., Charles S. and Kassy J. Hart and their sons Charles S. Jr., Chase T. and Zion A., Joseph C. Moore and his son Corell A., Myron A. Moore and his son Myron A. Jr., Brittany E. Moore, Goliath M. Van Alphen, Mariah L. Van Alphen, and her daughters Brooklynn M. and Savannah J. and son Kayden L., Mathew L Van Alphen, and Jaeliana L. Calderon, Sisters, Ruth Brown and Audrey Bridges, Half-brothers Elmer Bridges Jr. and Bruce Bridges, Half-sister Gail Bridges-Fair.

Private viewing for family members was held at Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, Rhinebeck, NY.

Sherrill will be cremated and inurnment will be withheld waiting for her husband to join her in their Companion urn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Center, 555 11th Street, NW, Ste 300 Washington, DC 20004.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Nurses and Lab Technicians of Vassar Brothers Hospital who went above and beyond their normal duties for our family.
