My cousin Melanie (Bill and Jean's daughter) once said to me, "Family is always there." Bill and Jean are my Godparents and throughout my life, they have always been there. Bill was the epitome of the strong, silent type. Bill will be missed, but forever remembered as the kind of person you ought to be more like.

Paryers and healing thoughts to my sweet family, Jean, Susan, Patrick. We are glad to have met Diane (sp), Liam, Fiona, and Jaia.

My brother Bill, So good and kind. So wise and strong. Who could have asked for a better brother. Never condemning, always encouraging. Wanting the best for all of us. Always positive, never a negative word. A laugh contagious. Enjoying a good joke or funny calamity. His hugs were so very heart warming. He was interested in what was happening in our lives. We wanted him to be proud of us. And knowing he so cared for us, we wanted to do good. Thoughts of Bill fill my heart with joy. He has left a legacy for all of us to reflect on. His warmth and compassion for all is so inspiring. My heart overflows with appreciation and gratitude. Love and prayers to the family, Shirley & John Hering

I’m very sorry for your loss which I just became aware of. My name is Kathleen (Tucker) Ohlman. I was married to Bob, MacArthur’s son, and am Mother to Mac & Dorothy’s granddaughters, Cara & Amanda. Amanda, specifically, is very interested in learning about this branch of her family. Both Cara and Amanda attended Mac’s Celebration of Life and did meet some of their family. If you receive this email and are interested in responding it would mean very much to my daughters. Unfortunately, their father passed very young so you may be one of the few avenues they have. I currently live in FL but have a cottage in Hillman, MI (complete coincidence!) and so have a way of arranging a local meeting between interested parties once COVID is under control. Cara currently lives in Germany but will be home for good in about a week. She will reside near Detroit, MI. Amanda lives near Toledo, Ohio. Thank you so much, God bless you! Kathleen Ohlman

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Bill when he was the Manufacturing Engineer in IBM's MES area. He was a great person to work with. He had the patience of a saint and treated everyone with a high level of respect. I always admired Bill for his creativity and tenacity at problem solving. When Bill left IBM, the company lost a great man. Bill leaving this earth has left a void. My condolences to Bill's family,,,Andy Silvestri
