Albert Bono, 75, of Rhinebeck, passed away on May 14, 2020 at Vassar Brother’s Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on July 29, 1944, he was the son of Charles and Catherine (Prinzivalli) Bono.
Albert worked as a Letter Carrier for 36 years in Poughkeepsie before his retirement in 2002.
On November 9, 1996, he married the true love of his life, Blanche Apuzzo in Rhinebeck, NY. Mrs. Bono survives at home.
Albert, otherwise known as Al or Pop-Pop, was a kind, generous, and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid reader, who loved to laugh, tell stories and offer advice. He also enjoyed cooking, woodworking, gardening, sailing and most of all spending time with his wife, grandchildren and his 2 dogs.
In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by a large loving family, which includes 4 children and their spouses, along with 8 grandchildren.
There are no calling hours.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in honor of Albert can be made to the American Heart Association.
