Arlene Wyant Obituary

Clinton Corners- Arlene L. Wyant, 68, passed away on December 20, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 7, 1954 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Palumbo) Lapinksi who predeceased her.

After Arlene graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx, she attended Westchester Community College. Following graduation, she worked for the Organized Crime Task Force in New York. She married her first husband John Conte on May 24,1975, and had two children John Raymond, and Alyson Ann. They raised their children in Poughquag, NY, and later relocated to Douglasville, Georgia, and then to Alvarado, Texas. Following John’s passing in September of 2007, she moved back to New York where she met her husband George Wyant in 2009. Arlene and George were married on September 19, 2010.

Arlene was a lover of animals. On the farm with her husband George, she would take in any animal that needed a forever home. In addition to her love of animals, Arlene loved spending days at the beach in the summertime and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed summertime dinners with her family by their pool, annual trips to the Dutchess County Fair, and day trips to flea markets, and the casino. One of her most cherished outings was sitting at the riverfront in Rhinecliff with George, enjoying a slice of pizza and a beer, while watching the sunset and boats passing through.

In addition to her husband George, Arlene is survived by her son John Raymond Conte and his wife Megan of Millbrook, NY, her daughter Alyson Ann Ramputi and her husband Steven of Wappingers Falls, NY, a stepson Eric Wyant of Rolla, Missouri, seven grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas, Giavanna, Alexa, Vincent, Emilia, and Olivia, and her beloved dogs Tuffy and Daphne.
