Carol Gavin

Carol Gavin of Beacon, died peacefully in her sleep on July 3, 2023 at 80 years old. She spent the last 10 years in a nursing facility in Dutchess County, NY.

A former "IBM-er" in the Kingston and Poughkeepsie facilities, she also worked as a toll booth operator at the Newburgh-Beacon bridge for several years.

Carol was an avid reader who loved Pork Fried Rice and a good Meatball Hero. She loved seeing the mountain streams freeze over like icicles in the wintertime.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn and her two grandsons Tyler and Grant of North Carolina.

Services are private and at the convenience of her family.
