Eugene Joseph Ricciardelli, 86 years young, of Rhinebeck, NY, sadly departed following a challenging septic event and subsequent hospitalization.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 27, 1936, he was the son of Joseph and May Ricciardelli.
Gene graduated from John Adams High School in 1954 on Rockaway Blvd, Queens, NY and went on to earn his Associates in Electrical Technology from SUNY Farmingdale in 1957. Prior to retiring he worked for 36 years at Xerox repairing copy machines. He enjoyed working on improving his home, traveling with his family and his many beloved cars including a 1969 Fiat convertible, 1970 Buick Riviera, his Mazda Miata and several Jeeps over the years.
Gene is survived by Barbara, his wife of 47 years, his daughter Gina, his son Andrew and his wife Sondra. In addition the family lives on through his sister Irene Settembre; and his nieces and nephews, Renee Settembre-Dietrich, and her husband Frank, and Lisa Settembre-Bloom and her husband Jeffrey; and his great nieces and nephews, Aaron (Nicole), Nicholas (Courtney), Alex (Becca) and Kaelan Dietrich, Brittany (Mike) Rossi, Brendan and Amanda Bloom. Gene was predeceased by his nephew Gregory Settembre.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate his faith, life and the happiness he brought to all who knew him will be at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3 Mulberry St., Rhinebeck, NY, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
