Obituary

 

Rhinebeck – Gordon F. Prout, 85, passed away on December 23, 2022 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Born on November 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Harold and Ernestine Prout.

Gordon was an architectural hardware consultant for CNC Hardware in Brewster.  During his career he outfitted many buildings in the greater New York area.  After retirement Gordon enjoyed playing golf and bowling.

Gordon is survived by his wife Ellen A. (Flood) Prout; his sons Douglas and Joseph; his grandchildren Richard, Nicole, Jaron and Jada; his siblings, Phyllis Alfano, Marjorie Olds, Harold Prout and Virginia Losi; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are Thursday, January 5th, 12:00 PM at the Grasmere section of the Rhinebeck Cemetery. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck.
