Lori L. Rose

Lori Lynn Rose, 62 of Tivoli NY, passed away too soon on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by ones she loved. 

Born in Rhinebeck, NY, on April 11, 1962, Lori was the daughter of Thomas Lattin and Mary Ann Lattin (Bollenbecker) of Rhinebeck NY. After high school, she went on to earn a master’s degree in speech language pathology at SUNY New Paltz. Lori spent an amazing 32 years at Anderson Center for Autism working one on one with students teaching communication. Her patience, dedication, and compassion were unmatched.

In the past, Lori liked to take summer vacations with her family and find a beach to relax on. She loved to garden, mapping out the year’s beds in advance. Most recently, she would spend her free time with her 2 grandchildren, taking them to parks, the Bronx Zoo, and seasonal events. Lori also enjoyed Halloween and would dress up every year joining her children and grandchildren in festivities. As described, she liked nothing else but to be surrounded by family and friends. That is what was most important to her. She was considered a mother to everyone and would help in any way she could, even if it was just to give advice. 

She is survived by her 3 children, Luke Rose, Jake (Charles) Rose, and Annie Rose, her 2 grandchildren, Elara and Benjamin, her brother John Lattin and her lifelong best friend Cynthia Mowris.

Calling Hours will be held at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY on Friday March 21, from 5PM to 7PM and Saturday March 22, from 10AM to 11AM.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday March 22 at 11 am.

Burial will follow in the Natural Section of the Rhinebeck Cemetery.

In honor of Lori’s easy-going nature, the family requests that everyone be comfortable and wear colors, purple and tie dye strongly encouraged.
