Rhinebeck – Margaret Rose ‘ Peggy’ Sanchez, 78, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 11, 2020, at her home in Rhinebeck.
Peggy was a lifelong Rhinebeck resident and graduate of Rhinebeck High School class of 1961. She was born June 24, 1942 in Boston to Thomas J. Myron, Sr. and Rose A. (Lake) Myron. Her family moved from Boston to Rhinebeck in 1956.
Peggy and Manny raised their children in Rhinebeck and during that time Peggy worked at Foster’s Coach House. Later she worked in retail sales at Filene’s and G. Fox before having her final career doing a job she loved the most, hostess and event planner at The Belvedere, Rhinebeck.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Manuel “Manny” Sanchez, Jr.; her daughter Audrey Sanchez Fisher; her grandsons Ian Manuel and Evan Roy Daugherty; a sister Noreen Myron; and two brothers James Patrick Myron and Thomas J. Myron, Jr.
Peggy is survived by her children Drew Chikotas; Matthew Sanchez; and Andrea Sanchez Benedikt; grandchildren Holden, Griffin, Adria, Brooklyn, Quinn, Faith and Nolan; and great grandchildren, Jordan, Paisley Jean and Layne. She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy Myron, Mary B. Devine, William Myron, Karen Myron, Judy Day and Marian Myron; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the near future, and interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Rhinecliff.
