Enfield – Marion B. Russell, 84, a former resident of Rhinebeck, passed way peacefully in Longmeadow, MA surrounded by her loving nieces and nephew on February 11, 2023.
Born on March 12, 1938 in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Hanaburgh) Butler Jr.
Marion graduated from Rhinebeck Highschool and began working for IBM in the Typewriter division in Poughkeepsie and Kingston for 11 years before working as a floral arranger for E.A. Coon & Co for 13 years. She also worked sometime as a Court Clerk.
While living in Rhinebeck she was a member and past president of the Landsman Kill Trail Association as well as a member of the Springbrook Park and the Riding and Driving Club.
Marion was predeceased by her husband James Russell in 2019 as well as her brother Donald Butler in 2020 and her stepdaughter Michelle Tsiotsias in 2019.
She is survived by her nieces Hope Jay Conlon (Chuck MacEacheron) of Hyannis MA and Debbie Butler of Red Hook; her nephew Paul Butler (Erika Moniz) of Red Hook; her stepson Robert (Lisa) Russell of Longmeadow MA; her stepdaughter’s husband Nikko of CA; a grandson Jordan Russell; as well as many more nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Services for Marion will be held at a later date.
