Mary Brillis

Elizaville – Mary Brillis, 64, of Elizaville, passed away on August 10, 2024 at Vassar Brother’s Medical Center.

Born in Yonkers, NY on April 24, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Petros and Carol (Tzaneteas) Brillis.

Mary became an Elizaville resident after her son was born in 1990. But she was no stranger to the area as the property was a weekend getaway since the 1970’s

Mary was a Senior Provider Relations Representative for United Healthcare. She took great pride in her work. She had earned the “Service Heroes Award” in 2023 for her accomplishments.

She had done everything to take care of and make sure she created a proper household to raise her son and fully supported his goals. She always lent a helping hand to anyone she could. She took in many of friends that needed a place to go, helped build people back up when they were in a tough spot and gave advice and insight to anyone who asked. 

Mary was predeceased by both her parents and her younger brother, George Brillis.

She is survived by her son, Peter Brillis, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her God Daughter.

Calling Hours for Mary will be held at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY on Thursday August 15 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
