Michael T. Arsenault, 58, former resident of Rhinebeck, passed away at home on Saturday November 26.

 

Born on July 25, 1964 in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Robert Arsenault, Marlene (Hoffman) Baker and David Baker.

 

Michael was a lifelong interior and exterior painter. He had been working for Blauvelt & Son for over fifteen years.

 

Known to many as M.A., Mikey, Forrest, Uncle Mike, and Poppy, he enjoyed countless experiences throughout his life and had many stories to tell.

 

Michael loved spoiling his grandchildren, riding his Harley, watching the Jets, snowmobiling, four wheeling, camping, and hunting as well as gathering with his friends and family. He also loved being outside mowing the lawn, vegetable gardening, and dubbed himself an “Ace Ventura” while he watched all the birds and animals in his yard. He took great pride in his truck and his shop.

 

Michael is survived by his partner of 40 years, Christine Major, his parents Marlene and David; his children, Thomas Arsenault, Ashley Arsenault (Cory Fasce), and Kayla Arsenault (Christopher Melvin); grandchildren Madison, Liam and Kaydence; a brother Brett; many lifelong friends including, Timmy Richardson, Mike Blauvelt, and Keith Russell as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Brandi.

 

He was predeceased by his father Robert Arsenault in 2016 and his brother Robert Arsenault in 2017.

 

There are no calling hours.

 

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
