Penni Cullen

Rhinebeck – Penni Cullen, 72, of Rhinebeck, passed away on January 27, 2020 in Pawling, NY.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey on October 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Doris (Sarachevitz) Goldstein.

 After graduating high school, Penni went to beauty school and worked for many years as a beautician in New Jersey. She later worked in customer service at the Poughkeepsie Journal. In 1996, Penni married John Cullen of Rhinebeck. 

Penni was a kind-hearted, gentle soul who deeply loved her family and her dog, Ralphie.  She loved, baking, crocheting, reading, Elvis Presley and cracking corny jokes. Even at the end of her long illness, she always had a smile for everyone she met.

Penni was predeceased by her husband, John Cullen in December 2019, and her beloved dog, Ralphie, also in December 2019.  

Penni is survived by her daughters, Candice (Ashish) Shah and Laurie (Dennis) Richards as well as seven grandchildren: Sonya, Milan, Briya, Alyssa, Austin, Dennis and Emily.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral Services will be held at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, Rhinebeck, on  February 2, 2020 at 11:00 am. 

Burial will follow in the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
