Petros Brillis

Elizaville  - Petros Brillis, 92, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Petros emigrated to the United States from Greece and resided in Yonkers for many years before moving to Elizaville.  In Yonkers he owned Ellas Food, a restaurant supply and produce distributor.

He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Kingston.

Petros was born December 4, 1926 in Chios, Greece; the son of George and Maria (Kastori) Brillis.

He is survived by his wife Carol Tzaneteas Brillis of Elizaville; a daughter Mary Brillis; a grandson Peter Matthew Brillis; a sister-in-law Kostoula Galanos; brother-in-laws Sotiris and Elias Tzaneteas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son George Brillis in 2001; and a brother Adam Brillis

Calling hours are Wednesday, November 20th, 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck.

Funeral service is Thursday, 10:30 AM, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 294 Greenkill Ave., Kingston, NY

Memorial donations may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, or Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, Yonkers, NY.

Interment will follow in the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
