Rhinebeck – Richard Briggs, 67, a lifetime resident of Rhinebeck, passed away at his home on January 28, 2019.
Born in Rhinebeck on April 10, 1951, he was the son of the late Wallace and Helen (Forbes) Briggs.
Richard served in the Marine Corps and later worked for the US Postal Service in Poughkeepsie, NY.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #429.
He is survived by his brother Wallace “Jimmy” Briggs, a sister, Ann Laffin as well as 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
Calling Hours will be on February 4, from 10 am to 11 am at the Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 West Market Street, Rhinebeck, on Monday, February 4 at 11 am with Fr. Crawford of Good Shepherd celebrating.
Burial will follow in the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
