Richard Starr Mrstik, 81, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at his home in Rhinebeck.
Richard was a graduate of Middlebury College and worked as a reporter, editor and commercial photographer; he had worked as city editor for the Port Chester Daily Item.
Born October 17, 1936 in Queens; he was the son of Paul and Dorothy (Stansfield) Mrstik.
Richard is survived by his wife Joanne of Rhinebeck; his brother Ronald, and his wife Margaret Mrstik; his brother-in-law James, and his wife Ann Calandro; and five nieces and nephews.
A service to remember Richard will be Thursday, October 18th, 11 AM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck. Interment at the natural section of Rhinebeck Cemetery will follow.
