Romilde A. Michetti

On February 25, 2023 our beloved mother passed away at home in El Dorado, California surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years old.

Endearingly called Nonna by nearly everyone, she is also Romi, Zia Romi (Aunt Romi) and Nonna Bis (great grandmother).

Passionate about family and caregiver to all in so many ways, she touched all her large extended family and friends in a personal way. Romi will be remembered always for her sense of humor and capricious nature. Always front and center, she was the light of the party and is loved by all who met her.

She is predeceased by her husband Adelchi O. Michetti, the love of her life, and baby John Paul. She is survived by her three children, daughters Concetta Del Buono (husband Carlos) and Anna Rita Courtney (husband Gary) and son John Paul Michetti (wife Vicki); eight granddaughters, Nicole (O’Connor) Cargo, Christina O’Connor, Kristin Courtney, Rachel (Courtney) Cardillo, Sarah (Courtney) Egerton, Amanda Michetti, Leah Michetti and Elisabeth Michetti, and five great grandchildren.

Romilde was born on April 30th 1929 to Giovanni Rossi and Angela (Brugnoli) Rossi in Buffalora, Italy. One of eight brothers and sisters, Giuseppe Rossi, Rosetta Bustaffa, Maria Grecchi, Franca Maraschi, Alfredo Rossi and Anna Bignamini have passed on from this life. She is survived by her brother Paolo Rossi.

There will be a 10:00 am Mass on April 14th, 2023 at St. Christopher’s Catholic church in Red Hook, N.Y. followed by internment at the Town of Rhinebeck Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Red Hook VFW at 12:30 pm following the graveside service.
