Shirley Rose Dederick

Rhinebeck- Shirley Rose Dederick, 80, a former resident of Rhinebeck, passed away on September 11, 2022 at the Golden Hills Nursing Home in Lake Katrine, NY.

Born in Rhinebeck on November 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ada Bollenbecker Sr. and a sister to Homer Jr., Roberta, and Barbara.  

Shirley worked for many years as a Health Aide at Archcare at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.

She was predeceased by her husband James Dederick Jr. in 2007.

Shirley is survived by her son James Dederick III and his wife Pam of Lake Katrine; her daughter Annette L. Briggs and her husband Jake of Rhinecliff; grandchildren Cory, Jake, Ryan and Ashley; several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

There are no Calling Hours.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Red Church Cemetery on Thursday September 15, 5217 Rt. 9G, Tivoli, NY at 12:30pm.
