To Jan, children, grandchildren, and family and friends - I am very sorry to hear of John's passing..... Although I knew him when I grew up in Rhinebeck, I remember meeting him one time when I was leaving Dutchess Community College after a class. I had returned to college later in my life and as I returned to the parking lot, I ran into John... I hadn't seen him in many years! We both were surprised at the meeting and chatted - what a great smile he had and what a great "catch up" conversation we had! Funny how those memories stick with you! I don't think I ever ran into John again until I attended a winetasting event at the Dutchess Co. Fairgrounds and there was John and Jan at a table!
