My condolences go out to Tim and Trevor. Pat was a wonderful caring person. We worked together for many years and she gave me some very good advice. I remember how excited she was planning these elaborate birthdays parties for Maggie ... they were so cool!! Then came her son Trevor - so proud of the man he grew into. My heart goes out to her family. Pat will be missed by all.

It seems like just the other day that Pat and I were new to IBM, working together and trying to learn our way around. She didn't have a car so I used to drop her off so she didn't have to take the bus. And from those beginnings sprang a lifetime of working with Pat time and again as our career paths crossed throughout the years. No matter how busy she was, Pat always had time to answer a question, give some advice, or just share a kind word of encouragement, tell a joke or flash a smile. My heart goes out to the family she leaves behind, but I know how much she loved you, and I know that that her love will linger with you for the rest of your days.

Moments ago, I learned of Pat's passing and was deeply shocked and saddened. Pat was a wonderful woman of gentle grace - I learned something from her each time I spoke to her. She was so well suited to her role at IBM as a guidance point for the most challenging HR issues and presented her thoughts and recommendations in the most balanced and objective way. She was the consummate HR leader and mentor and will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to work with her. My deepest sympathies to her family at this sad time.

It was my joy and privilege to know Pat during most of my 30 years at IBM. I enjoyed knowing and working with her as an HR colleague. She was even my manager once for two years, and she had all the best qualities a manager can have -
smart, wise, fair, empathetic. Pat and I shared an Irish heritage and a whimsical sense of humor.
Her Maggie was born earlier the same year my son Matt was born, so she and I and other new moms in HR had that bond. The last time I saw
Pat may have been my retirement party. I will always keep her in my heart as sweet and funny and with a great laugh and twinkle in her eye.
She was an honorable person I was blessed to have her as a friend. She seemed to love her life
and she had a lovely calm energy about her.
I feel blessed to have known Pat as a longtime
friend and fellow traveler. She had that effect
on people. She will be remembered and missed.

Our heartfelt love is being sent to you. Not a Christmas goes by without my thinking of Pat as I put my 5 angel ornaments on my tree. Not a summer or basketball season goes by without a thought of Maggie. We are heartened to know they are together again. Take care of each other.
